A toastmaster, accomplished keynote speaker, and Excellence Practitioner through The Business Excellence Institute, Szymon loves to travel with his wife and kids (his last trip was over 8 countries!)

Career Highlights

  • Transferred emergency medical services delivery for Cold Lake Ambulance Society, under a collective agreement with Alberta Health Services and labour union, managing risk and delivering projects on time and on budget.
  • Engaged as a Subject Matter Expert for the Dubai Government Excellency Program, providing assessment and recommendations based on international best practices and standards to improve Health & Hospital Management and Ambulance & Emergency Services.
  • Led the “Words Matter Project” for Island Health, recognized by the Health Standards Organization as a leading practice in improving safety and concern resolution through patient partnerships.
  • Implemented and operationalized innovative interdisciplinary primary and acute care models aligned with accreditation standards for a remote Indigenous community, decreasing tertiary care referrals and enhancing culturally safe patient-centric care service delivery.
  • Implemented a provincial primary care network strategy and provided recommendations based on an assessment of cases involving patient harm or death within a major health authority.
